Description
X-Screen ® System for indentifying breast speciments
An efficient system for imaging, transporting and identifying breast biopsies and multiple core specimens
X-Screen® allows the pathologist to easily identify the area from which the sample was taken by means of coordinates which can be seen on the X-ray of the excised tissue and on X-Screen (with no need for needles or other markers).
X-Screen® was developed specifically to address inadequacies which exist with regards to the post-operative handling of surgical breast biopsy specimens and multiple core biopsy specimens. Its unique design and radio-opaque grid provide an efficient system for imaging, transporting and identifying breast biopsies.
X-Screen® avoids hand contact with the bioptic specimen by the radiologist,
and protects other staff from potential contamination.
X-Screen®, combined with the hook-wire localization needle-sets Mammorep® by Sterylab is the optimal solution to complete the surgical procedure.
Advantages:
• It reduces surgery times through improved imaging management.
• It improves communications between surgery, radiology and anatomic pathology.
• It avoids physical contact with the excisions and/or fragments.
• It reduces the risk of pathogenic contamination.
