Acetic acid 5% is a means of differentiating the examined tissue into normal or suspected of dysplasia.
Acetic Acid 5%: Stains the dreaded tissue white, due to the aggregation of the high concentration of nuclear proteins of the hyperplastic epithelium, while the normal tissue remains as it is.
